These two bikes have been discretely parked outside Old Main for months. I took these pictures in October, when I first noticed their extended stay. I can’t say how long they were there before October, so let’s just call it years.

Aside from weather wear, they are brand new with manuals still wrapped around the frame. One has a seriously bent tire.

Are they bait bikes? Or left by thieves? Did a cute turkish couple purchase the bikes on warm fall day, then ride to campus for an evening walk only to get mauled by a kenna cartwright grizzly? Oh if these bikes could talk.

The ancient trees of the Shadowsong Forest have borne witness to the passing of epochs, and hidden beneath their dark canopies are the remains of empires long departed. Few souls brave enough to explore the primeval forest ever return, for countless horrors haunt the crumbled ruins. When a band of evil criminals seeks refuge within the darkest reaches of the forest, brave adventurers are needed to root them out. The trail leads to the heart of the woods, wherein looms the greatest secret of all — the Pyramid of Shadows.

it’s the government I’m afraid of.

I found the best place to follow the protests in Egypt was The Lede blog on the nytimes website.
