These geocaches are on a ridge that we accessed from Abbey Road off of Highway 1. It was one of the hottest days of the year and we decided to go climb mountains. And then it rained.
These photos, more importantly, are the first with my new camera: a minolta 7s ii. Won it on ebay and picked it up in person from a dude in kelowna who kept a baseball bat by his door.

Looking West towards Kamloops lake

We decided it would be best to just head straight up the rock slide. And then on the way back decided it would be best to just head straight down the rock slide.

The hills of kamloops, the scenic views, usually look like shit until you're right up in 'em.

This cache was stuck in a prickly bush and was no fun at all. Don’t go geocaching in williams lake is my advice. Stay home and eat cactus; you’ll have a better time.

I don’t know what it was but you see a couple other people wandering aimlessly around and you’re sketched out. Maybe it was the constant presence of the cops or maybe just because its williams lake.
This sidewalk variety cache commemorates the great Telus lockout of 2005, and contains some company and union pins, as well as a small logbook. This is a high traffic area. the picketers are friendly (unless you drive a white truck with ladders on it!).

Road side rest area along Yellowhead Highway South
The cache is locted in a rest area along the Yellowhead Highway north of McLure, BC. McLure was where the British Columbia Fire Storm of 2003 began. The fire jumped the river at this location and burned a massive wilderness areaon the west side of the riever. 85 homes were destroyed on the east side as the fires burned through Louis Creek and Exlue. This area has also been ravaged by the pine beetle infestation.
